After starting jeannelk.com/history web site I have had many family members mention the idea of having a family blog that we could all communicate within. So...I am just experiementing with this blog tonight and will see how easy it is for those of you who are not quite so comfortable with the computers.

Those of you who are familiar with blogging....please leave some comments and help those family members who have never blogged before. This is my first time in creating one so I know very little about it.

Thanks,
~jeanne~

Great job Jeanne, as usual. It took me a few minutes to figure it all out.........but it looks like a fun way to keep in touch. Love it.

Okay...I finally get to use the computer. The girls wanted to attack the wonderful projects their kind teachers decided to bombard them with over the Thanksgiving Holidays. They wanted to finish them before we head off to Nashville for our Family Reunion. (Plus, it's a good incentive to use if they want to go shopping before we leave...hey, I'll use anything I can!)

Thanks for setting up this Blog, Jeanne! They seem to always be fun. Kudos again to our Web Site. Don't know how you found the time and patience. Hope you have some more...for all the photos you will be getting soon!

Hope everyone has a Blessed Thanksgiving!

cool!!! a question though, would you rather setup something directly on your history site, so people could leave comments on any page? what do you think? something like this

Jeanne Kenyon said...

Glad you all are leaving comments on here...some have never used a blog and it will show them how fun it is.

Vern...this is just a trial run so let's talk when you come to my house for Christmas....I might just put your "talents" to work for the Kenyon Clan!

Peggy...I see you are the first one to be a "Follower".... why don't you add a picture to your profile so it shows up on the blog? ~jeanne~

Jeanne Kenyon said...

Vern...I have to admitt I would like this a whole lot better if the comments all showed on the front page... hmmmmm We need to talk! ~mom~

Jeanne, thanks for not only working so hard on the history but for working on a way for us all to get connected. Even though this is a stretch for us technically challenged, it is a good stretch! I will work on getting you some pictures soon.

Pictures are Jaimie main means of communication so she loves checking out blogs with me. :)

Love to all,
~jane~

I had not worked with blogs in the days gone by and wrote two messages that did not go out and my son Rick hopefully got the situation in better order so will try again. All is well down in the Daytona Beach area and we are enjoying the 78 degree temperature. Thanks to Jeanne for all the work on the Kenyon Clan website. Love to all Uncle Carlton

Butch, are you and Marlene in Florida?

Hi All, I've had my troubles getting back on here. I don't have Jaimie's challenges, but when it comes to the computer I have my own handicaps! But I was challenged by Peggy to try to get a picture up. Jaimie is patiently waiting to see so here goes my try. ~jane~

Thanksgiving greetings to you all. How FUN it was to see that Rick and Bonnie and Uncle Carlton had joined the group!

Rick, yes, Butch and Marlene are now in Florida... [not sure how often he checks this]

Gambill Girls.... thanks for the great photo! Check out the family photo of your family I found today among some of my photos - so I added it to your Mom's page.

Love and HUGS to you all!

Yes we are here in Florida. We are officially Florida residents now.
Had a great Thanksgiving with Kell, Mikel and Logan, as they are also new Florida residents about 6 miles from us.
Looking foward to seeing Rick and Bonnie before they head back up Nnnnnorth.

Jeanne, The date on the new photo you put up of the Shamel family is 1957.

Seeing that one got me going. I will go through my pics this month and get more to you. ~jane~

Jeanne -

Wonderful job posting our reunion pics! Glad you enjoyed them. We had a blast! Although, you did leave out Grampa's Talent Show!!! The grandkids were so nervous, but ended up really enjoying themselves. Non-stop visiting and laughing at the antics of the "cousins!" Again, thanks!

Candyce...it was so HARD to pick the pics out of all the great ones you had. I had to be selective and it was truly a hard task! You could have an entire website of just your family pics!! I can only imagine ALL the GREAT talent that was displayed that weekend.

Thanks for sharing all the pics with us!
